Dogeared Jewelry Sale & Looks For Less

In a previous blog post I mentioned the SATC inspired jewelry that was being pumped out by a brand that I adore, Dogeared. While I never bought any of the pieces I liked I haven't forgot about them. Today I stumbled back onto Dogeared site and saw that they are running a 50% off sale on 200 handpicked items. And low and behold, the Sex and the City necklaces are apart of the sale! Sweeeet.
I am getting the Sex and the City Park Ave Necklace (gold) and the Sex and the City Big Closet Diamond Charm Necklace (silver) + a Karma Tote!

As if the percentage off wasn't great enough, with that same 50% off coupon code you also get to pick a reusable canvas tote and they toss that one in for Free! Bananas.
Check out the items that are on sale and use coupon code: SUMMERSALE2010

Look for Less
I do know that even with a super sale like this Dogeared can still be pretty pricey. So I've rounded up a few look for less options that are pretty darn close to the real thing. While I do maintain that the Dogeared 'luxe' items are ultimately the more gorgeous of the two options, sometimes fashionable ladies gotta pay the bills too, and debt is not cute. So check em' out. Compared to the Dogeared items these other options are insanely cheap.

Sephora Collection Travel Makeup Bags Review

Sephora Collection Makeup Bags
Blue Bowler Makeup Bag:
Sephora Collection, Holiday Magic Blue Collection Bowler: This bag was very cute! The metallic powder blue outside color was gorgeous - BUT - in terms of a travel makeup bag, it simply wasn't enough for me. Here's why, the inside pockets were a little flimsy and felt a little cheap, like if you shoved too much in there the pockets might rip; and on-top of that, the pockets were very shallow. You can see from the picture that really anything larger than my Sugar Lip Treatment and Benefit free sample weren't fitting so well.
I wanted to love it, I really did. It just wasn't meant to be for us.

Pink Hanging Travel Bag:
Sephora Collection, Holiday Magic Pink Collection, Hanging Travel Bag: Now this travel bag has been a great addition to my ever necessary travel organization quest. I travel a lot, and I'm always trying to find the ultimate bags to organize my products & makeup. My two main objectives for a bag are 1.) organizational possibilities, because obviously I want to quickly find the products I want when it's time to whip them out, and just as equally important, 2.) the bags aren't going to take up huge amounts of space! Trust me I already pack too much, I don't need bulky bags robbing me of precious room in my luggage.
Each of the three bags are velcroed to the main bag so removing a compartment to save space is totally possible. If you are just putting makeup in it, I don't even think you would need to do that. There are tons of compartments and enough room for -almost- everything I travel with, and I love keeping my products off the counter and all in one place while it hangs.

So Would You?

Are you tough enough to wear these?

Leg Avenue Shoes - Brass Knuckle Heels, $74.00  [sold by: patriciafield.com]

They are a little inspired by the original bad girl shoe, the Chanel 'Gun Heels', from the Chanel Cruise 2009 Collection.

While I feel dirty betraying the religion that is Chanel, I actually like the Brass Knuckle heels better. Not to mention that the Chanel platform carries a price tag of about $2,200 USD, making the Leg Avenue Shoes (btw, who the bleep is Leg Avenue Shoes anyway?) infinitely more accessible.
